IKEA Supply is responsible for ensuring that the product offer is produced and delivered to our customers. We lead the supply agenda across multiple functions and collaborate with various business areas, different business units, and retail markets to guarantee customer availability in all markets and sales channels at the lowest total cost.

The Finance Organization at IKEA Supply AG (ISAG) manages the financial matters of the entity, including financial planning, performance reporting, decision-making support, pricing, external accounting and reporting, tax management, customs, and connected business development.

Finance Operations within ISAG Finance supports wholesale by safeguarding an efficient and accurate payment and settlement process for suppliers and service providers, as well as compliant agreement administration.

Job Description

The Accounts Payable Accountant plays a crucial role in securing IKEA's assets by ensuring that food wholesale related invoices are controlled, authorized, and paid on time.

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Verifying and booking commercial goods supplier, transport and logistics service provider, indirect material, and service invoices in a timely manner.
  • Authorizing invoices according to purchase agreements and performing various controls and checks on invoices within the responsibility area.
  • Taking initiative to investigate and resolve deviations related to invoice controls.
  • Ensuring on-time payments by following up on authorized invoices and preparing them for payment.
  • Responding to requests from suppliers and service providers (e.g., payment information, reconciliations).
  • Ensuring correct archiving of invoices.
  • Providing reports to stakeholders for audit purposes (e.g., Purchase Operations).
  • Supporting cooperation with main stakeholders.
  • Performing assignments or projects per competence and business needs (e.g., process updates, OSC project).
  • Contributing actively to enhance quality and efficiency throughout the process.

Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of invoicing, accounting, and payment processes.
  • A passion for driving continuous improvement and optimization of processes with a proactive approach.
  • Strong understanding of compliance and control requirements within accounts payable.
  • Familiarity with supply chain operations in the wholesale business.
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs, including creating comparison tables, charts, and document templates.
  • Fluency in English.
