IKEA Supply AG (ISAG) is the wholesale company within the Inter IKEA Group, responsible for managing goods across IKEA Distribution and Regional Customer Distribution Centers worldwide. Key functions at ISAG include Transport & Logistics Services, Supply Chain Development, and Finance.

The Finance organization at IKEA Supply AG (ISAG) oversees all financial matters for the entity. This encompasses financial planning, performance reporting, decision-making support, pricing, external accounting and reporting, tax management, customs, and related business development. We are committed to registering financial transactions and ensuring compliance with local and international accounting and tax regulations and standards.

Job Description

As an Accountant, you will facilitate accurate and efficient accounting and reporting for the Food Wholesale business, maintaining quality standards and meeting all deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounting
    • Ensure the correct application of Inter IKEA Group Rules/Guidelines on accounting and financial reporting for the areas of responsibility.
    • Manage one IKEA Food entity.
    • Conduct accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Support all accounting tasks, period reporting, and closing activities across all entities.
    • Oversee Inventory and GIT reconciliation.
    • Handle intercompany reconciliation with other Inter IKEA Group companies.
    • Serve as the primary contact for audits.
    • Maintain the IKS (Internal Control System) and operating working instructions.
    • Perform ad-hoc tasks related to bookkeeping and accounting.
    • Act as Process Leader for our process documentation tool CANEA.
  • Reporting
    • Adhere to group reporting requirements aligned with Inter IKEA Group Rules/Standards and deadlines.
    • Act as the main contact for Group Finance regarding financial SAP reporting.
    • Contribute to VAT reporting and reconciliation.
    • Execute local reporting tasks.
    • Ensure monthly and quarterly statistical reporting is completed.
  • Projects & Support
    • Assist with direct and indirect tax support.
    • Contribute to various projects, including testing.
    • Help develop and implement new procedures and features to enhance departmental workflow.
  • System Maintenance
    • Link our finance business with solution areas/IT.
    • Develop a deep understanding of financial flows and set up in M3.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Knowledge of accounting and financial processes; supply chain knowledge is a plus.
  • A bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Proficiency in taking responsibility.
  • Attention to detail and a strong investigative mindset.
  • Well-organized and structured work style.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • A cooperative approach to working with other departments to achieve common goals.
