Job Opportunity: Account Manager
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Account Manager to manage our existing Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) business and lead the launch of an exciting new product in the Swiss German region. This role requires strong expertise in pharmaceutical sales, strategic planning, and building relationships with key healthcare professionals. The Account Manager will collaborate closely with marketing to create and implement impactful materials, projects, and campaigns. While experience in Pulmonary Hypertension and rare diseases is advantageous, we welcome candidates with a robust background in pharmaceutical sales who are eager to launch a new product in a specialized market.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the performance of the Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) portfolio and lead the successful launch of a new Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (PAH) product, including market analysis, stakeholder engagement, and monitoring territory performance against targets.
- Develop and maintain long-term partnerships with customers (Scientific Leaders, Specialists, and specialized Nurses) through individual sales visits, promotional lectures, and participation in congresses and educational events.
- Tailor account management for your assigned territory by understanding and mapping customer needs, identifying drivers and barriers, and comprehending the patient journey and treatment decision influencers per account.
- Engage in balanced product sales discussions that incorporate scientific data with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) to align customer and business needs.
- Stay updated on the latest product and therapeutic area information through internal training, conferences, and self-study.
- Drive tailored customer engagements using data and analytics to understand customer preferences, balancing physical and digital interactions effectively.
- Organize and co-create educational events for HCPs, including sponsorships in line with strategic priorities and budget constraints.
- Uphold the highest ethical principles in alignment with local laws, our company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and regulations.
Your Profile
- 3-5 years of pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience, ideally in specialty care. Experience in Pulmonary Hypertension, Intestinal Lung Disease, or Rare Diseases is a strong advantage.
- A degree in Life Sciences or a related discipline from an accredited institution, with a strong healthcare curriculum. Certification as a “Certified Pharma Sales Representative” is a plus.
- Proven experience in managing an existing product portfolio and successfully launching a new product.
- A strong track record of achieving sales targets and supporting marketing efforts in a complex medical environment.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, with strong organizational and strategic planning skills.
- Experience collaborating with marketing teams to create and implement marketing materials, campaigns, and projects.
- Open to innovation and experimentation.
- Fluent in German and English.
- A valid driver’s license.
