Position: Account Management

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for the commercial management of multiple customer accounts. Your role will involve executing contractual obligations for maintenance services in Zurich, coordinating engine induction slots, overseeing shop visits, and ensuring engine serviceability. You will also play a critical role in achieving the company's revenue and P&L targets for respective customer accounts, coordinating closely with Product Management and Sales.

Additionally, you will maintain effective communication with customers regarding commercial matters, engine turnaround times (TAT), and parts exchanges that arise during the shop visit. Your proactive approach in triggering internal and external escalations when necessary will be essential for ongoing success. This position also includes preparing and coordinating customer visits, whether onsite in Zurich or at the customer’s facilities.

Your Tasks

  • Take P&L responsibility for assigned customer accounts, providing recommendations to the Head of Account Management, VP Commercial, and Head of Business Unit. Ensure profitability of shop visits within contractual boundaries.
  • Participate in contract handover meetings with Product Management, identifying and analyzing contractual risks and initiating mitigation actions accordingly.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customers, handle feedback, and organize customer review meetings. Coordinate Closing-the-Loop review meetings after shop visits and incorporate feedback into the organization.
  • Lead kick-off meetings for new engine shop visits, involving Operations Project Leads, Engineering, and Purchasing, while delivering accurate engine delivery information for induction slot planning. Organize Table Inspections with customers and communicate any commercial and TAT-related topics during shop visits to ensure on-time delivery of engines.
  • Offer part replacements and exchanges to customers, clearly communicating the financial aspects of these options.
  • Issue Preliminary Invoices based on shop visit price estimations, perform invoicing reviews for Main/Final Invoices at the end of shop visits, and manage accruals for discounts, penalties, warranty risks, and potential disputes. Resolve invoice issues with customers effectively.
  • Support the cash collection process in collaboration with the Sales team.

Your Profile

  • Commercial or Technical degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of commercial or technical experience in the MRO industry.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a customer-facing position within the MRO industry.
  • Strong understanding of the MRO and related Aerospace business.
  • Solid business acumen and contract comprehension.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and intercultural skills.
  • Fluency in English is required.
