As an Account Manager in Engine Services, you will be responsible for the commercial management of multiple customer accounts. This includes executing relevant contractual obligations for maintenance services in Zurich, coordinating engine induction slots, overseeing shop visits, and ensuring engine serviceability. Additionally, you will work to achieve the company’s revenue and P&L targets for the respective customer accounts in collaboration with Product Management and Sales.

Your ability to effectively communicate with customers regarding commercial matters, engine turnaround time (TAT), and parts exchange topics during shop visits is crucial. You will also be responsible for maintaining, developing, and expanding customer relationships and preparing for customer visits, whether on-site in Zurich or at customer facilities.

Your Tasks

  • Take P&L responsibility for assigned customer accounts, providing recommendations to the Head of Account Management, VP Commercial, and Head of Business Unit.
  • Participate in contract handover meetings with Product Management, identifying and analyzing contractual risks and initiating mitigation actions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the customer, managing feedback and organizing customer review meetings.
  • Lead kick-off meetings for new engine shop visits with relevant stakeholders, ensuring accurate engine delivery information is shared.
  • Organize and coordinate Table Inspections with the customer.
  • Communicate any commercial and TAT-related matters during a shop visit, ensuring on-time delivery (OTD) of engines.
  • Present part replacement and exchange options to the customer, discussing the financial implications.
  • Initiate and coordinate Closing-the-Loop review meetings after engine shop visits, providing feedback to the organization.
  • Ensure profitability of shop visits within the constraints of contractual clauses.
  • Issue preliminary invoices based on shop visit price estimations and review main/final invoices at the end of each visit.
  • Build and release accruals for volume discounts, marketing fees, TAT penalties, warranty risks, and potential invoice disputes.
  • Resolve and settle invoice disputes with customers.
  • Lead and support the cash collection process in collaboration with Sales.

Your Profile

  • Commercial or Technical degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of commercial and/or technical experience in the MRO industry.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a customer-facing role within the MRO sector.
  • Strong understanding of the MRO or related aerospace business.
  • Excellent business acumen and contract comprehension.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and intercultural awareness skills.
  • Fluency in English.
