The Professorship of Computational Mechanics of Building Materials at ETH Zurich is seeking a motivated and skilled Academic Editor / Science Communication Specialist to enhance its research communication efforts. Our work investigates the fundamental mechanisms that govern failure in materials and structures through a combination of theoretical modeling, advanced simulations, and tailored experiments. Our research areas include soft material fracture, granular mechanics, additive manufacturing, and architected materials, integrating disciplines such as materials science, mechanics, and applied physics.
As an Academic Editor / Science Communication Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the professorship in developing, managing, and enhancing its external communication activities. You will work closely with the professor and researchers to assist in the preparation of scientific manuscripts, grant proposals, and presentations, ensuring they are clear, well-structured, and accessible to a broad audience.

This is a part-time position (40-60%) initially limited to one year, with a possibility for extension. The starting date is as soon as possible, with flexibility available.
