ABAP Developer - 6 Month Contract Role - Remote (EU)

On behalf of one of our partners, RED is excited to present a new contract opportunity for an ABAP Developer to collaborate with one of our key partners on an important project. This initial contract is for a duration of 6 months, with the possibility of extension.

This is a full-time contract position, set to commence as soon as possible (within 2 weeks) and will be conducted remotely.

Role Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Develop, enhance, and support SAP S/4HANA solutions utilizing ABAP and related technologies.
• Collaborate closely with functional teams and business stakeholders to design technical solutions.
• Develop custom enhancements, integrations, and APIs while optimizing system performance.
• Build and maintain CDS Views, OData services, and Fiori applications.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across the SAP landscape.
• Support upgrades, migrations, and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring that developments adhere to SAP best practices, Clean Core principles, and modern S/4HANA development standards.

Overall Skills

• Strong technical background in ABAP.
• Experience with S/4HANA and Clean Core principles.
• Familiarity with modern ABAP technologies such as RAP, CDS, OData, and Fiori.
• Ideally, experience with large-scale/global projects and major international clients.
• Preference for strong project stability, favoring longer-term assignments over multiple short ones.
