Job Opportunity: 1st Captain
Uniworld Boutique River Cruises owns and operates a fleet of eleven intimate, boutique river cruise ships on the European waterways, catering exclusively to English-speaking clients. To support our Nautical Team, we are seeking an experienced and dedicated professional for the role of 1st Captain.
Your Responsibilities
- Navigating the ship according to company guidelines and safety regulations.
- Ensuring the safety of all passengers and crew on board.
- Maintaining our ships during the season and winter months.
- Professionally managing the Nautical Team.
- Communicating effectively on board with the Hotel Manager and Cruise Manager.
About You
- You have experience in a similar role on the Rhine-Main-Danube.
- You possess experience with Z-Drive systems (not mandatory).
- You hold at least a license for the Rhine until Mainz and/or the Danube.
- You are an innovative, flexible, and proactive leader and team player.
- You have the ability to communicate and conduct business fluently in German and/or English.
- You possess strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- You are willing to learn and grow in your role.
