Join Our Nautical Team as 1st Captain
Uniworld Boutique River Cruises operates a fleet of eleven intimate, boutique river cruise ships navigating the enchanting European waterways, exclusively catering to English-speaking clients.
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to take on the role of 1st Captain.
Responsibilities
- Navigating the ship in accordance with company guidelines and safety regulations.
- Ensuring the safety of all passengers and crew on board.
- Maintaining our ships during the operational season and during winter.
- Professionally managing the Nautical Team.
- Communicating effectively with the Hotel Manager and Cruise Manager onboard.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role on the Rhine-Main-Danube.
- Experience with Z-Drive systems is advantageous but not mandatory.
- At least a license for the Rhine until Mainz and/or the Danube.
- Innovative, flexible, and a proactive leader who thrives as a team player.
- Fluent communication skills in German and/or English.
- Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- A willingness to learn and grow within the role.
