Join Our Nautical Team as 1st Captain
Uniworld Boutique River Cruises proudly operates a fleet of eleven intimate boutique river cruise ships on the picturesque European waterways, catering exclusively to English-speaking clients. We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to assume the role of 1st Captain.
Responsibilities
- Navigating the ship in accordance with company guidelines and safety regulations.
- Ensuring the safety of all passengers and crew on board.
- Maintaining our ships both during the cruising season and in the winter.
- Professionally managing the Nautical Team.
- Facilitating communication onboard with the Hotel Manager and Cruise Manager.
Qualifications
- Experience in a similar role on the Rhine-Main-Danube.
- Experience with Z-Drive systems is advantageous, but not essential.
- Possession of a license for the Rhine until Mainz and/or Danube.
- Innovative, flexible, and proactive leadership qualities, alongside being a strong team player.
- Ability to communicate fluently in German and/or English in a business context.
- Proficient in computer applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Willingness to learn and grow in your role.
