Uniworld Boutique River Cruises operates a fleet of eleven intimate, boutique river cruise ships on the picturesque European waterways, exclusively serving English-speaking clients. To enhance our Nautical Team, we are seeking an experienced and dedicated professional for the role of 1st Captain.
Your Responsibilities
- Navigating the ship in accordance with company guidelines and safety regulations
- Ensuring the safety of all passengers and crew on board
- Overseeing the maintenance of our ships during the cruising season and winter months
- Managing the Nautical Team professionally
- Facilitating communication on board with the Hotel Manager and Cruise Manager
Your Profile
- Experience in a similar role on the Rhine-Main-Danube route
- Familiarity with Z-Drive systems (not mandatory)
- Possession of a license for the Rhine up to Mainz and/or Danube
- An innovative, flexible, and proactive leader with a team-oriented mindset
- Fluency in German and/or English for effective communication
- Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- A willingness to learn and grow within your role
