Join Our Nautical Team as 1st Captain
Uniworld Boutique River Cruises operates an exquisite fleet of eleven intimate river cruise ships on the serene European waterways, exclusively catering to English-speaking clients. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to support our Nautical Team as a 1st Captain.
Key Responsibilities
- Navigating the ship in accordance with company guidelines and safety regulations
- Ensuring the safety of all passengers and crew on board
- Overseeing the maintenance of our ships during the sailing season and winter months
- Professionally managing the Nautical Team
- Facilitating communication on board with the Hotel Manager and Cruise Manager
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a similar role, particularly on the Rhine-Main-Danube waterways
- Experience with Z-Drive systems is a plus, but not mandatory
- Valid license for the Rhine until Mainz and/or Danube
- Innovative, flexible, and proactive leadership skills with a strong team orientation
- Fluent communication skills in German and/or English
- Proficient in computer applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- A willingness to learn and grow within your role
