Join Our Nautical Team as a 1st Captain
Uniworld Boutique River Cruises proudly owns and operates a fleet of eleven intimate, boutique river cruise ships that navigate the stunning European waterways, exclusively catering to English-speaking clients. We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to join our Nautical Team in the role of 1st Captain.
Your Responsibilities
- Navigating the ship in accordance with company safety guidelines and regulations.
- Ensuring the safety of all passengers and crew on board.
- Managing the maintenance of our ships throughout the sailing season and during winter.
- Leading and managing the Nautical Team professionally.
- Facilitating effective communication on board with the Hotel Manager and Cruise Manager.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in a similar role on the Rhine-Main-Danube waterways.
- Experience with Z-Drive systems is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Possession of a valid license for the Rhine until Mainz and/or Danube.
- An innovative, flexible, and proactive leader who is also a team player.
- Fluency in German and/or English for effective communication and business conduct.
- Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- A willingness to learn and grow within the role.
