Join Our Nautical Team as a 1st Captain
Uniworld Boutique River Cruises owns and operates a fleet of eleven intimate, boutique river cruise ships on the European waterways, catering exclusively to English-speaking clients. We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to join our Nautical Team in the role of 1st Captain.
Your Responsibilities
- Navigating the ship in accordance with company guidelines and safety regulations.
- Ensuring the safety of all passengers and crew on board.
- Overseeing the maintenance of our ships both during the sailing season and in the winter.
- Professionally managing the Nautical Team.
- Facilitating communication on board with the Hotel Manager and Cruise Manager.
Your Profile
- You have experience in a similar role on the Rhine-Main-Danube.
- Familiarity with Z-Drive systems is a plus but not mandatory.
- You hold a license for the Rhine up to Mainz and/or Danube.
- You are an innovative, flexible, and proactive leader and team player.
- You possess the ability to communicate and conduct business fluently in German and/or English.
- You have proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- You are willing to learn and grow in your role.
