Uniworld Boutique River Cruises operates a fleet of eleven intimate, boutique river cruise ships navigating the beautiful European waterways, catering exclusively to English-speaking clients. We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to join our Nautical Team as a 1st Captain.
Key Responsibilities
- Navigate the ship in accordance with company guidelines and safety regulations.
- Ensure the safety of all passengers and crew members on board.
- Oversee the maintenance of our ships throughout the cruise season and during winter operations.
- Professionally manage the Nautical Team.
- Facilitate effective communication with the Hotel Manager and Cruise Manager on board.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a similar role on the Rhine-Main-Danube.
- Familiarity with Z-Drive systems is a plus, though not required.
- Possession of a valid license for the Rhine up to Mainz and/or Danube.
- Innovative, flexible, and proactive leadership skills as well as a team-oriented mindset.
- Fluent communication skills in German and/or English.
- Strong proficiency in computer applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- A willingness to learn and grow in your role.
