Job Description
As a Staff Frontend Engineer, you'll be a hands-on technical leader with company-level impact across our Real Estate vertical. You’ll shape and evolve the frontend architecture powering our portals, create shared frontend solutions adopted by multiple teams, and orchestrate complex cross-team initiatives.

Your Responsibilities
- Lead the evolution of our Real Estate frontend architecture, defining and improving SLAs/SLOs while anticipating systems' ripple effects.
- Design and create shared frontend libraries, components, and tooling focused on pragmatic, reusable solutions.
- Orchestrate multi-system refactors and migrations, coordinating with engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders.
- Act as a go-to person across teams for frontend topics, influencing our web experiences.
- Mentor and coach other engineers through structured mentorship and feedback.
- Model a healthy feedback culture, guiding constructive conversations and conflicts.
- Challenge and improve team processes for enhanced focus, quality, and efficiency.
- Write code while also enhancing the effectiveness of other team members.
Your Day-to-Day
- Participate in a regular product team, balancing product delivery and staff responsibilities.
- Innovate and deploy frontend-focused engineering solutions for our Real Estate projects.
- Own the technical vision for key user journeys like Homegate and Immoscout24, emphasizing performance and reliability.
- Lead cross-team frontend initiatives and identify technical bottlenecks for resolution.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and other engineering teams to shape technical strategies.
- Partner with DevX to develop engineering blueprints and health scorecards.
- Evaluate and introduce new frontend technologies, documenting findings and driving adoption.
- Guide and review engineers' work through design and code reviews.
- Help the team leverage AI & large language models in our workflows.
- Contribute to guilds and promote knowledge-sharing across teams.
- Foster a culture of high-quality engineering, focusing on testing and operational excellence.
Our Tech Stack
- Frontend: Mainly Vue.js and some React, using TypeScript. We utilize a mix of client-side, server-side, pre-rendered, and hybrid web apps.
- Backend: Node.js and TypeScript, serverless and microservices architecture in a cloud-based environment with AWS.
- Monitoring & Observability: Primarily Datadog with best practices for logging and alerting.
- AI & Tooling: We embrace the latest developments in AI technology.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional experience with Vue.js or similar frameworks.
- Proven track record of implementing automated frontend testing with tools like Jest, Vitest, and/or Cypress.
- Solid hands-on experience building production applications with Vue 3.
- Experience collaborating with designers using Figma.
- Strong background in building large-scale frontend applications in modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Proven technical leadership in complex initiatives and alignment across stakeholders.
- Deep understanding of modern CI/CD practices for frontend.
- Experience creating and driving adoption of shared frontend solutions.
- Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
