Join Our Team as a Senior Events Manager

What You Will Do
- Serve as the day-to-day lead for Group Events, reporting to the Head of Events; provide guidance across formats and support the team through coaching and clear direction.
- Oversee end-to-end planning and execution for internal and external events, shaping concepts with stakeholders, building run-of-show plans, and serving as the main point of contact.
- Elevate audience experience and production quality by introducing innovative ideas in event format, flow, creative and digital storytelling, while embedding sustainable event practices.
- Lead projects from initial brief to post-event evaluation, coordinating cross-functional teams and agencies for larger productions.
- Manage partners, budgets, timelines, and the events calendar; brief and steer external suppliers and production partners to achieve high-quality results within budget.
- Deliver complex events across live, hybrid, and virtual formats, including livestreams/webcasts, focusing on attendee journeys, speaker support, venues, suppliers, contracts, and on-site/show calling.
- Maintain alignment with stakeholders through precise project communication and documentation across internal teams, clients, and vendors.
- Report on event status and outcomes; capture insights and continuously improve formats, processes, and audience feedback loops.
- Manage the event technology and tools required for delivering our events (e.g., Cvent and our Global ME database) and collaborate with colleagues and vendors on registration, event apps, streaming, and production workflows.
What You Bring
- 7+ years of experience in delivering corporate events confidently across live, hybrid, and digital formats, both large and small.
- Strong program and project management skills, including budgeting, vendor management, and stakeholder steering; familiarity with agile work methodologies.
- Hands-on expertise in event technologies, particularly Cvent and enterprise event databases; quick to learn new tools.
- Proven experience in delivering complex virtual and hybrid events, with a strong focus on audience experience and production quality.
- A practical understanding of sustainable event management practices.
- Comfort and professionalism in partnering with senior executives and a diverse set of stakeholders in an international context.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with proficiency in German being a plus, capable of briefing, advising, and presenting clearly to speakers, senior stakeholders, and production partners.
- A robust network of event, AV/broadcast, and multimedia production partners and suppliers, bringing best practice experience for high-quality creative productions.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365, particularly Teams, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
You’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering outstanding events that contribute to Zurich’s business success, ensuring consistency, creativity, and modern production standards across all channels.
