Job Description
As a road builder, your responsibilities will include:
- Participating in the construction of roads and other roadway infrastructures according to plans and specifications.
- Carrying out excavation, grading, and soil compaction work to prepare foundations.
- Installing and assembling pavement elements, including curbs, sidewalks, gutters, etc.
- Implementing asphalt surfacing using machines or manually.
- Utilizing specialized equipment such as compactors, rollers, and paving machines.
- Working as part of a team to meet project deadlines and requirements in a safe environment.
We Expect
To be a successful candidate, you should possess the following qualifications:
- A diploma as a road builder (CFC) or equivalent.
- Machine operator permits (considered a plus).
- Hands-on experience in road construction or a related field.
- Knowledge of road construction techniques and safety standards.
- The ability to use construction equipment and tools safely and effectively.
- Experience working independently and as part of a team in various, sometimes demanding, environments.
- Mobility within the canton.
