Job Description
As a road builder, your responsibilities will include:
- Participating in the construction of roads and other roadway infrastructures according to plans and specifications.
- Conducting excavation, grading, and soil compaction work to prepare foundations.
- Installing and assembling pavement elements, including curbs, sidewalks, gutters, etc.
- Implementing asphalt surfacing using machinery or manual methods.
- Utilizing specialized equipment such as compactors, rollers, and paving machines.
- Collaborating with a team to meet project deadlines and requirements while maintaining a safe working environment.
We Expect
- A diploma as a road builder (CFC) or equivalent.
- Machine operator permits (a plus).
- Hands-on experience in road construction or a related field.
- Knowledge of road construction techniques and safety standards.
- Ability to use construction equipment and tools safely and effectively.
- Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team in various and sometimes demanding environments.
- Mobility within the canton.
