The Position

We are seeking a dedicated German teacher for grades Kindergarten through Grade 5. The ideal candidate will be flexible and enthusiastic about collaborating with a team of dynamic, professional language teachers to plan, deliver, and assess a student-centered curriculum within a diverse international school setting. You will hold high expectations for students and be comfortable differentiating content and instruction to cater to all learners. Preference will be given to applicants with experience working with a multilingual population and those who can contribute to the ZIS co-curricular program.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international school setting.
• International experience required for non-Swiss/EU applicants.
• Teaching license with a specialization in German language acquisition.
• Understanding of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
• Documented record of excellence in teaching.
• Experience teaching Kindergarten is desirable.
• Commitment to an inquiry-based approach that fosters curiosity and critical thinking.
• Dedication to ongoing professional development.
• Emphasis on relationship building with students.
• Ability to work effectively in a team, demonstrating collaboration and active participation in school life.
