Summary
Join our dynamic team as the Executive Director of Hematology Value & Access in Basel, Switzerland. You will lead the Diseases Area (DA) Access team, strategically and operationally, across the R-D-C continuum. Collaborating closely with the Commercial Launch Strategy DAs, Medical Affairs, and our Novartis Regions and priority Country teams, your goal will be to maximize access to Novartis assets.
In this role, you will develop and implement transformative access solutions targeted at strategic disease areas, with a specific focus on our priority geographic markets and their corresponding budget impact needs. This position reports directly to the Head Access Oncology International.
About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Global (V&A) TA Head by representing Access talent and topics to both internal partners and external stakeholders.
- Develop and operationalize the Integrated Product Access strategy in collaboration with TAs, Medical Affairs, Development, and Biomedical Research to enhance the value proposition and access-relevant evidence packages.
- Create and champion a compelling global strategic vision for innovating and expanding access through DAs, benefiting patients, Healthcare Systems, Payers, and Novartis.
- Work with TAs to develop the global integrated product access strategy, delivering product differentiation relevant to payers, patients, and HCS stakeholders worldwide.
- In partnership with the CLS DAs & Pricing team, co-create the international pricing strategy and negotiate strategies with payers to improve patient outcomes and support healthcare system affordability.
- Ensure that upon launch, Novartis brands are backed by a robust payer value proposition incorporating strong value evidence and a well-defined pricing strategy.
- Collaborate on data and evidence needed for reimbursement decisions, ensuring integration across the team and addressing the needs of priority markets.
- Maximize the value of Novartis assets through the execution of competitive pricing strategies and ongoing enhancements of Access capabilities.
- Report any technical complaints or adverse events related to Novartis products within 24 hours of receipt.
Essential Requirements:
- Education: MBA, Ph.D., M.D., or RPh.
- 7+ years of experience in market access roles within the pharmaceutical industry.
- 5+ years of global or ex-US regional experience.
- Experience in early drug development lifecycle.
- Proficient English skills, both written and spoken.
Desirable Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in a market access role within Pharma.
- Experience in the hematology therapeutic area.
