About SwissCore
SwissCore, the contact office in Brussels, serves as a bridge between the Swiss and European communities in the fields of education, research, and innovation. It also supports the participation of Swiss BFI institutions in EU programs related to these areas. SwissCore is backed by the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), the State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SBFI), and Innosuisse. Its partners in Switzerland include Euresearch, Movetia, Swissuniversities, and the ETH Board.
Position: European Research Advisor (100%)
Location: Brussels
Your Responsibilities
- Act as a link between Swiss and European stakeholders and programs in the research sector, particularly concerning Horizon Europe instruments.
- Create high-quality, targeted information regarding research policies and programs at the EU level.
- Support Switzerland's participation in EU research programs while collaborating closely with Swiss research actors, focusing on Horizon Europe.
- Promote and network Swiss research actors at the European level.
- Represent Swiss research actors in official committees as well as at meetings and events.
- Contribute to the visibility of the Swiss research landscape in Brussels.
- Be prepared to handle dossiers related to education and innovation when necessary.
Your Profile
- University degree (MA or equivalent).
- Several years of professional experience in the public or private sector.
- Familiarity with the Swiss research landscape and solid knowledge of EU research policy and relevant programs.
- Able to view the Switzerland-EU relationship within a broader political context.
- Excellent editorial skills and proficiency in German, French, and English.
- Analytical capabilities, enthusiasm for research work, organizational talent, and good IT skills.
- Confident and engaging demeanor with demonstrated resilience and networking abilities.
- A strong interest in promoting cooperation in the research sector between Switzerland and Europe.
